Overview
Hive is a Windows desktop workspace. One window holds a chat column with cited answers, a code canvas, a roster of agent bots, HiveBox, and a system-wide buddy — an orange companion that trails your cursor and pops a notch island with Ctrl + Shift + J.
Access
Create an account at hivetools.pro/auth, grab Unlock (free during the launch sale) on the pricing page, and you'll get a personal access code. Enter it on the download page to get the Windows installer. Sign in inside the app with the same account — your 1M daily token pool stays on your account across updates and relogins.
Chat & search
Your messages render as right-aligned bubbles; assistant replies are full-width. Words like search, latest, news, who is, lookup trip the web pipeline. Answers arrive with Verified Sources cards: domain, title, snippet, links.
Buddy
- Messages — every assistant reply carries the orange house avatar.
- Cursor — trails the mouse across screens with spring physics and a click-pop.
- System window — click-through, always on top, hides when Hive hides.
Recolor it in Settings → Buddy Color: Orange, Ink, Ghost, Cobalt, Amber.
Notch & hotkeys
Press Ctrl + Shift + J anywhere — even with Hive minimized. A black pill pops at the top of your screen and opens into the Buddy panel. Dictate with the mic, type a question, or run slash commands. Esc dismisses. Tray → Ask Hive opens the same notch.
PC control
Operator waits for Allow / Deny before touching the PC. Destructive shell is refused. Every action lands in the overlay audit log.

Swarm & bots
Scout, Hive, and Pulse start together on one message. Critic only runs after Hive answers. Sentry watches tool calls and rewrites fake citations or destructive commands. A swarm strip appears when two or more agents overlap.
Command palette
Ctrl + K opens the palette: new chat, group, Buddy, canvas, settings, workers, notch.

HiveBox
The right-side panel is a live view of HiveBox: a tiny disk, logs, and concurrent Scout / Hive / Pulse jobs. Toggle it in the title bar. Commands: ls, cat, echo, pwd, uname.

FAQ
Windows only?
Yes, today — the buddy click/type engine is Windows-native.
Is it free?
Unlock — the app itself — is free during the launch sale (regular €4.59). It includes 1,000,000 tokens per 24-hour window on your account. Optional token plans (Tokens Plus / Tokens Max) add more daily quota and are billed monthly. See pricing.
Where is my data?
On your machine: chats and settings in local storage. The website keeps only auth + profile rows.
Voice calling?
Coming soon. Dictation and spoken answers work now.
The buddy vanished!
It hides with the app by design — show Hive and it returns.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026. Hive ("we", "Apis") makes the Hive desktop app and the hivetools.pro website.
What we collect
- Account data: your email, display name and onboarding answers (profession, preferences, referral source) when you sign up.
- Purchase data: order IDs and buyer email from PayPal when you buy Unlock or a token plan. We never see your card details — PayPal handles payment.
- Usage data: token usage counters and app heartbeat (version, platform, last seen) so quotas and downloads work.
- Local data stays local: your chats, settings and transcripts live on your machine, not on our servers.
How we use it
To run your account, enforce quotas, deliver download codes, show sales pricing, and improve Hive. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Sharing
We share the minimum necessary with our processors: Supabase (hosting/auth/database), PayPal (payments) and Google (if you sign in with Google). No other third parties.
Your rights
Ask for a copy, correction or deletion of your data any time at apis.new.world@gmail.com. Deleting your account removes your profile, quota and subscription rows; PayPal keeps its own transaction records.
Retention
We keep account and purchase records while your account exists and up to 3 years after, for fraud prevention and accounting. Anonymized usage stats may be kept longer.

License
Unlock gives you a personal, non-transferable license for the Hive Windows app, including all v0.x updates. One access code covers the uses stated at purchase — don't share codes publicly.
Token plans
Tokens Plus and Tokens Max are monthly subscriptions billed via PayPal. Daily token and voice limits reset every 24 hours; unused quota doesn't roll over. Cancel anytime in PayPal → Settings → Payments — you keep your limits until the billing period ends.
Fair use
Don't abuse the service: no reselling access, no circumventing quotas or codes, no using Hive to harm systems you don't own or have permission to touch. PC-control actions always need your explicit Allow — you are responsible for what you approve.
Availability
Hive is a preview (Windows 10/11). Features may change, break or move between plans. We aim for reliability but give no uptime guarantees.
Refunds
Unlock is a digital license delivered instantly, so it's generally non-refundable — but if your code never worked, contact us within 14 days at apis.new.world@gmail.com and we'll make it right. Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime; the current month is not refunded.
Liability
Hive is provided "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for actions the app takes with your approval.
